When does the season start & end?
Danvers Youth Lacrosse starts the spring season in March. Regular Season Games start early April and end in early June. Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse ends with a Jamboree which is scheduled for the following dates below.

  • 1st Weekend of Jamboree (Levels 5th/6th & 7th/8th) will be June Dates TBD
  • 2nd Weekend of Jamboree (Levels 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th) will be June Dates TBD

When are games?
All normally scheduled games are on Sundays. Games that need to be re-scheduled due to weather postponements will be played when fields are available. 

When are practices?
Indoor Practice starts mid-March. For outdoor practice DYL works with the Town of Danvers on field permits and schedules. Please keep out an eye from your coach on when regular season practices will be taken place. 

How are teams organized?
Teams are organized by grades:
U9: 1st & 2nd grade
U11: 3rd & 4th grade
U13: 5th & 6th grade
U15: 7th & 8th grade

Team roster sizes are limited. If we have enough players register we will create additional teams but cannot exceed roster limits. Registration opens in November and closes mid January so we can comply with the deadlines set by Mass Youth Lacrosse. Please register early to guarantee your spot on a team. Once we meet our roster limit a wait list will be created and we will open a second team only if we have enough to fill the minimum requirements. 

What kind of equipment do I need for girls?
Girls need a lacrosse stick, mouth guard and lacrosse goggles.

What kind of equipment do I need for boys?
Boys need a lacrosse stick, lacrosse gloves, lacrosse helmet, mouth guard, lacrosse shoulder pads, lacrosse arm pads.

What about uniforms?
Grades 1-8 are required to have a DYL Jersey and a pair of DYL shorts. When you register if you need a uniform please select your size for a jersey and shorts. Uniforms are an additional cost.
