All boys’ teams in Danvers Youth Lacrosse participate in the Mass Youth Lacrosse (MYL). MYL is designed to promote the growth of lacrosse in Massachusetts. Some highlights to the MYL philosophy are:

• No ‘A’ or ‘B’ teams 
• Players are supposed to receive equal playing time
• Coaches receive educational support in both lacrosse fundamentals and positive coaching
• MYL rules are modified to promote sportsmanship

DYL enters teams in the following divisions:

Grades 1 &2 

Grades 3 &4

Grades 5 & 6

Grades 7 & 8

Practices start in in March with the season ending at the MYL Jamboree on June 10 & 11 for the 5/6 and 7/8 grades and June 17 & 18 for the 1/2 and 3/4 grades. *Coaches will email teams with exact practice dates prior to the season starting. 

Team roster sizes are limited. If we have enough players register we will create additional teams but cannot exceed roster limits. Registration opens in November and closes mid January so we can comply with the deadlines set by Mass Youth Lacrosse. Please register early to guarantee your spot on a team. Once we meet our roster limit a wait list will be created and we will open a second team only if we have enough to fill the minimum requirements.
